What is it

Livestock Producer and Farm Management provides all their valuable financial, commercial and specific information with the possibility of direct viewing on the Producer Screen.

Benefit

With the main benefit of a direct and clear picture of the economic and commercial relationship between the processor and the producer, the possibilities offered by this functionality are:

  • The monitoring of the necessary data and documents concerning the producers
  • The possibility of evaluating the farm
  • The updating of the relevant services
  • The possibility of managing cooperatives, co-operatives and partnerships

MCM.db : Producer management

Producers - Traders

  • Single Information
  • Animal Capital Monitoring
  • Quota management

Database MCM.db

The basic entity of the system is the Producer. It contains all the data for the complete management of any legal or natural person dealing with the milk industry by supplying it with milk.

These data are grouped into three groups:

  • General information on the producer as a physical and legal entity.
  • Management of the producer as a supplier of milk and therefore as a commercial trader with the processing plant with all its specific commercial characteristics as a dairy farmer.
  • Data concerning the producer’s livestock holding as recorded by the competent public bodies.

Objective

Our aim is to simplify the presentation of the data and for this reason the Producer Screen consists of five (5) tabs:

  1. General Information
  2. Management
  3. Exploitation data
  4. Financial Transactions
  5. User details

Additional Functionalities

MCM.db is also used to manage cooperatives, co-operatives and partnerships. In addition, there is the possibility of electronic monitoring of all forms included in the relationship between the producer and the processor, such as the AgroCert declaration, the milk acceptance agreement, etc.

Evaluation of Suppliers

Finally, the possibility of evaluating milk suppliers is offered through the parametric creation of a relevant questionnaire, which describes the questions and possible answers with their respective scoring. The questionnaires are then entered into MCM and the results are presented in the relevant reports.

MCM.InOr: Farm Monitoring

The new MCM.InOr app, for mobile android devices, enables industry inspectors to have a complete and efficient farm inspection. At the same time it also works as an ordering mechanism for feed, ancillary materials, etc., supplied by the industry to the producer. In full cooperation with MCM it offers excellent results.

What is it

The Milk Zone Receipt Management offers the monitoring of all milk collection processes from the producers, the accurate recording of the quantities and quality data received with simultaneous creation of electronic documents and their transfer to the processing unit.

Benefit

The greatest benefit of this functionality is the complete recording and control of the quantities received from each producer or collection point, with a more rational distribution of routes to increase productivity and reduce costs.

Milk collection planning

MCM.c : Management of milk receipts

Receipts

  • Collection Points – Ice Buckets – Producers
  • routes – tanks – compartments
  • Delivery to Assembly Points or Workshop

Database MCM.c

The subsystem covers management from milk collection planning, milk collection procedures from producers to transport and delivery to the industry.

MCM.c design

There has been a “smart” design of tanker routes, aiming at the detailed recording of the quantities and quality data of the milk supplied by the company from the producers, up to the delivery to the collection stations or the factory.

MCM.c allows the planning of the routes taken by the industry’s tankers to collect the milk from the collection points, in a special graphical environment and in a simple way.

The system, taking into account the geographical location of producers and collection points, allows the user to plan the routes in such a way as to minimise collection costs. It also monitors the management of the industry’s ice scrapers (Manufacturers, Movements, Maintenance) and tanks (Routes, Drivers, Maintenance). Finally, Inspectors as well as Portable collection devices are monitored from here.

Recording of Receipt Data

The recording of collection data can be done in detail at all levels of milk collection, allowing the identification of quantitative differences between these levels, e.g. the possibility of comparing the weighing of the tanker of a route with the sum of the kilograms of the producers’ delivery notes delivered on that route.

MCM.col : Milk Receipts Management using PDA or mobile android

The MCM offers the possibility of performing the “import” of the incoming milk into the system, either with the use of portable computers (PDAs) or with the use of portable Android devices. This facilitates the process of transferring the collection data.

Technical Description

The application for PDAs has been operating successfully for more than ten years and offers full functionality for the collection and transport of milk.
The new software, for mobile devices (smartphones) with Android operating system, includes all the functionality of the milk collection software that used to work on PDAs and in addition new functionalities have been added, taking advantage of the new possibilities offered by technology today.

The application includes the following functionalities

Features of the application

Intended Results/Benefits:

What is it

Milk Quality Management provides coverage of the entire quality control cycle, ensuring the correctness of the results, reducing the time of entry and minimizing errors.

Benefits

This is achieved through the integration of sampling in the milk reception process and the automation of the input of laboratory quality control results.
At the same time, the quality of the raw material is ensured and the requirements of the competent state bodies are met.

MCM.q : Milk Quality Management

Analyses

  • Collection of samples
  • Types of analyses
  • Analysis participation
  • Automatic or non-automatic import of analyses
  • Quality control reports

Database MCM.q

Quality control of the raw material is a critical parameter in the operation of a dairy industry. MCM integrates quality control throughout the entire milk management cycle, from receipt of milk to payment of the supplier and processing of raw milk. The functionality of quality control is based on the properties of milk as a natural material and meets all the requirements of the competent state bodies (EL.G.O.D.).

Sampling and Quality Control

MCM covers the entire quality control cycle starting from sampling, which is integrated into the milk reception process, while at the same time supporting all categories of quality control tests (chemical, microbiological and sensory testing).
A key advantage is the automation of the process of entering the results of laboratory quality control, which results in an effective reduction of entry time, while at the same time minimizing errors.

Manual Entry

If one does not have the infrastructure for automatic entry, there is a manual option based on receipts and with checks to ensure the correctness of the data.
Quality control data can be entered in any entity recorded in the MCM (producer, collection point, ice bucket, route, tank, compartment, etc.).

Quality Control Reports

The quality control reports summarise the results based on the accepted scientific method by type of test (weighted average, geometric average), with particular emphasis on quantities of milk that are outside the acceptable quality specifications for the processor.

Automatic generation of newsletters

Finally, MCM offers the possibility of automatic generation of information letters to producers and the competent state bodies, concerning the results of the quality control of milk from the receipt of the processor and based on specific rules.

What is it

The value of the raw material received by the industry for a given period of time is one of the most important pieces of information it needs to have.

Benefits

With the Milk Value Calculation and Producer Financial Management functionality, both quantitative and qualitative data are taken into account so that the authorized user of the application can have an overall picture of the value of the milk received by the industry as well as the possibility of a complete picture of demand and competition. At the same time, the financial position of the producer (advances, loans, instalments, etc.) is fully monitored.

The main benefits of this functionality are the intelligent calculation of milk value, invoicing and management of advances and payment settlement for full financial monitoring of the producer.

The features it provides are:
– The intelligent and flexible calculation of milk value
– The detailed analysis of the producer’s monthly payment settlement

MCM.fc : Calculation of Milk Value

Financial Management

  • Calculation of the value of milk
  • Calculation of payment
  • Settlement by producer
  • Producer payment

Database MCM.fc

The industry – milk processor is able to calculate the value of the raw material received over a certain period of time, taking into account both quantitative and qualitative data.

The customisation of the milk value calculation is offered through the functionality of the “payment policies” subsystem, where the industry can define:

  • The payment conditions, i.e. whether value may be determined for a particular producer (e.g. a sufficient number of samples must have been taken to allow an accurate determination of quality)
  • The quantity bonus or malus, i.e. the company’s policy in relation to the quantity delivered (either overall or on a daily basis)
  • The quality bonus or malus, i.e. the company’s policy in relation to the quality of the delivered quantity for the calculation period, which may relate to the price of either a specific analysis or a combination of analyses (e.g. fat, protein and SNF composition bonus).

The calculation – proposal of the value of the milk is made from a special screen which allows the authorised user to have a complete overview of the value of the milk received, both at producer level and in partial or final totals. He can then either accept the system’s final price proposal, based on the rules of the payment policy, or enter one or more desired prices himself.

Pricing

Finally, MCM offers the possibility of converting an estimated value into the corresponding tax document based on the applicable legislation. This document can be printed from MCM but can also be automatically transferred to the industry’s main commercial application.

MCM.fm : Financial Management

The third aspect of raw material management concerns the calculation of its value.

Payment policies

The customisation of payment policies allows the industry to define which parameters are to be taken into account when calculating the value of a quantity of milk. These parameters are quantitative (total quantity delivered), qualitative (number of samples required, bonus/malus depending on the results of quality control tests) and value (basic producer price/type/region, etc.).

Calculation of milk values

The system, taking into account the quantity and quality data entered for each producer and the parameterisation of the industry’s payment policy, calculates the value of milk received for a specific period of time per producer and type of milk.

Payment suggestions

The result of the calculation process is a payment proposal in which all the parameters that shaped it are recorded in detail and which can be transformed into the corresponding tax document – invoice, or even revised.

Update EL.G.O. D.

With this functionality the system automatically creates and sends, all the necessary to EL.G.O.D. statements, required by the industry.

What is it

With the Traceability of Raw Material functionality, the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of milk are recorded during its movements, i.e. from its receipt to the manufacture of the final product route, thus ensuring the traceability of the product backwards (Backwards Traceability).

Benefits

This ensures quality assurance and traceability during the production process and compliance with current legislation.

MCM.t : Traceability of raw materials

Analyses

  • Collection of samples
  • Types of analyses
  • Analysis participation
  • Automatic or non-automatic import of analyses
  • Quality control reports

In addition to the classical tree presentation of traceability, the subsystem has, alternatively, the graphical presentation of traceability. The subsystem also provides a graphical representation of the effect of a volume (product or by-product) in the horizontal dimension on its use in other end products.

MCM.R : Reporting and BI

The Results Reports functionality aims to create and offer a variety of reports in different formats (analytical data, KPIs, geographical mapping, etc.), which combine all the data of the system (quantitative, qualitative and value), thus offering a complete picture of the raw material to the processor.

This provides easy and immediate information for drawing conclusions and making business decisions.

MCM.map

MCM.map, provides the possibility of parametric visualization of the various sizes of the Database (quantity, quality, value, etc.) on the map of Greece.
